• The movie was so much better. I have to Google who directed the movie.
  • I love Mira Nair. Even more now.
  • Now I know why I had started reading and left it the first time around. There is too much detail in here.

I am glad I watched the movie first and that encouraged me to pick the book again. Had I finished the book the first time around, I wouldn’t have watched the movie. The best scene I liked in the movie  was when he remembers the walk with his Dad across the breakwater. It just didn’t have the same impact in the book.
